I trial fitted my porsche wheels on my octavia, there 8.5K running 35mm adaptors onthe back with an et of 50 and they looked pretty good, would need slammed to pull them off tough because there 17's that i ran on my fabia.

i be looking maybe a inch drop down to 19s? :wonder:

the other thing i was wondering would be could you still run 225 as 235s are from what i remember the trouble makers?

i think????????????

i dont know what i think these days :giggle:

i just think that its only a extra half inch, so what???????????? 12mm

would that be 6mm wider each side? 6 towards the strut 6 towards the wing? :wonder:

Id imagine you would have to run a bit more stretch than that mate to avoid the square edge of a tyre catching the arch, at least with a stretch youve got more chance of clearing the arch and if it was to hit it would only be slightly in comparison.

That would depends on the offset, it you were running et35 the same as standard wheels then it would be 12mm one way, if it was et 41 then it would be 6mm either side?

Heres my 8.5J's with a 205, 40, 17 on the back of my octavia just to give you an idea.........

hehe looks cool

i just dont know what i fancy

i do love what i got but i get the urge for a change , but most i find are the 8.5x19s and i would push my luck with 8.5x20s :giggle:

I dont know your car to comment mate but i think 20" 8.5's would just murder your arches unless your running it high and it will look like a rollerskate. Ive not been about the octavia forum much until i got mine if im honest so not sure what the biggest most people run are but id imagine 18's in 8.5s would be maxin it out for practicality :giggle:

although the most known is a shot infront a big ol house, but i cant find it :'(

The standard Octy 17" spiders run a offset of ET38 7j x 17.

I am running 18" RS4 replicas with a ET35 8j on 225 tyres, which seem typical on the 18" rims. Running a 8.5j rim would probably cause rubbing even if you reduced or increased offset as you are going to either hit suspension or the wing especially with 19" rims.
