clutch problem! and no not what you think!

Featured Replies

Hi every one I have a vrs with a jabba sport clutch and fly wheel conversion.

its been converted about 2-3 years ago and all has been fine.

but after a had winter I have noticed that its very hard to go from 1st to neutral at the lights e.t.c when its cold

also when its warm with my foot on the clutch on the floor and in 1st gear the car feels like its taking up drive.

I think its a master or slave cylinder fault.

please can any one help me?

P.s I am taking it to the ring in 8 days or maybe not now :(

yer but it never used to be

I just know mines always did it, it could be random when it did it there wasnt a set rule, possibly your release bearing at fault then, it never bothered me too much personally

"with my foot on the clutch on the floor and in 1st gear the car feels like its taking up drive"

you must know wether its moving forward or not?

I had this with my spec clutch, exactly the same symptoms, changed all the hydraulic system to no avail, turned out the springs int the clutch plate had broken up

My standard one does this too. Told to check brake fluid first off

I think I have sorted it! I have blead the system tonight and I had some air and some dirty fluid out of it and now it feels better than ever! lets hope thats the end of that and no master or slave cylinder gone
