AIR CONDITION

Featured Replies

I am very happy with the consumption of my 1.2 tsi yeti. Its 6.4 lt per 100km and it still has 3000 km.

But last couple of days i had the ac and iam afraid for the same distance to work, it consume 3 lt more.

It does not looking good for the summer. :(

To be fair, it is a reasonably heavy car and with only a 1.2 petrol engine it is going to have that type of an impact. However would you want to go through a Cypriot summer without air conditioning? When August arrives the a/c will be a haven for you. The comfort that a/c gives you in a hot climate is worth every penny. Look on the bright side, in the UK in August we may be needing the a/c on warm

I did a few happy miles in the Yeti at the weekend and used the Air Con now and again. The trip computer confirmed that the average fuel consumption was somewhat more reluctant to climb with it turned on but I still managed to average just over 40mpg. I find that you have to drive with care to reach 43-44 mpg in the 1.2 but it is realistically achieveable in good conditions.
