Why? Only the diesels are supposed to have the insulation. This video is of a 1,2 so it won't have any sound insulation.

1.8TSi have the insulation.

The 1.2 is a very quiet engine.

Was that a manual he was testing? Only ticking over at 2500RPM-ish at 70MPH!

The DSG runs about 2300-2500 at an indicated 70mph too.

Likewise here re watching all the YouTube videos - though I did not like this amateurish video at all. Why would one want to look at the dails as he is driving for minutes on end?! Very peculiar. And panning over the engine like 5 times before he says a word?! This man needs to go to film school.

I've never had to wait this long for a new car, but then my mum always says to me the longer one waits for something the better it is when it finally arrives.

True. And you usually see something in a video that you have not seen before or that someone has not taken a picture of, or deemed too stupid a thing to take a picture of!

I just wish they will stop putting the stupid dance music tracks over all the videos! Rarely do you get a video where I can HEAR what my car will sound like! Coming from a wonderful sounding, excentric 3 cylinder TDI (that sort of sounds like a Porsche 911 I kid you not) the sound my Yeti's engine will make is very important to me.

Excuse my ignorance !!!!....I simply thought it was good practise to try and insulate sources of potential rattle, but as I am no car mechanic/designer I am none the wiser !!!!!
