After test driving a vRS yesterday and several weeks considering the badge versus value for money argument I today ordered my first Skoda. My new vRS replaces my 3 year old Alfa 159 1.9JTDM company car which is due for replacement. Everything about the Octavia blows the Alfa out of the water, seriously impressed.

Here's my spec;

Came in just over £22.5K with a VAT discount from the dealer. Its been a pleasure being able to order a car that comes with every option I could ever want rather than just ordering a badge and engine!!!

I deliberately didn't order the Bluetooth kit as I have an iPhone, post delivery I will install the mObridge kit.

Now the long "I want it now!" wait for delivery.

That's some spec list. I think you will get a build week of 30. The factory closes for 3 weeks in July. I was thinking of ordering mine with auto dim mirror etc but didn't think it was a value for money option.

Yeah can't wait, was planning on taking the car on holiday in France during early August, if the factory is closed during July then looks very unlikely.

I know how you feel Dan - I ordered one with a huge spec (not dissimilar to yours, except white) on Monday morning. :yes:

Believe it or not the Alfa has been (touch wood) 100% reliable.

Something like that, the wait is going to be hell. Typically when I order anything I want it immediately.

Regarding the variable boot floor, it's something I didn't have a lot of knowledge about when I ordered, is it only of use if you have space saver tyre?

congratulations on choosing a Skoda over another Alfa! I did the same in 2003! had a 156 company car which when was due for change opted for a MK1 vRS Octy. Then Mk2 Octy vRS and now have FL vRS on order. I've gone for Leather seats. Xenons, parking sensors and.Black paint. again.!!

didnt know about this auto dimming mirror though, its not in my options brochure also my dealer said I could only have Blue tOoth with the DSG option!!!
