Guys? does anyone know of anyone who can do a GOOD job of a subtle flare / slightly pull the arches? :wonder:

its part of my on going pplan to sneaky some extra width :giggle:

9x19s would be cool, but if not a easy not troublesome 8.5x19 with 235s woudl be ok,

im just after a good job as i dont want anything fudged :'(

cheers guys

Hahahaah that's amazing!

we just need to sort out a group buy for scaffolding poles and we can all have a go!

I used my friends arch rolling tool to roll my front arches and flare the rears with the intention of fitting some wide wheels but still can't really justify the cost of them at the moment but at least the arches are done should funds ever allow me to buy the wheels i want,i've just got spacers on to make my current rims fit better, there are places that will do it for you but don't think any of them will guarantee not to crack the paint,i didn't care though as i was having mine smoothed and painted afterwards so i did it myself :)

thats what worries me :'( i want to avoid any paint being done incase it shows 6 months later or sumin

mite be thinking 8.5x19s with the 225 tyre :smirk: i got told its only a et30 tho not the 35 :'(

means they come about 11mm further out tho :giggle: hmmm lol im yet to visit my arches with a tape measure lol

is there much arch to roll on the octy ? i had them done on the mk2 golf but there was alot to turn up

There's a bit of lip on the front to roll up but the backs are flat anyway,a lot depends on how far you want to go and how low your going,i just went to town on it so i had clearance as i was after fitting 9.5x18 which included cutting away sections of the wheel arch liner and there is no rear arch line no more as it was flared out and then smoothed, just get the rims and go from there,i currently run 8x19 with 215/35/19 and on the last set of tires there was a slight stretch which helped with arch clearance but current tires although they are the same make and size are not stretched so i get a little bit of rubbing on the rear due to the spacers i'm running

its a extra 11mm out its going to work out

i got 225/30/20s at mo and i have no issues but with the extra push of the offset and the extra half inch i cant help but wonder if im pushing my luck lol  im planning on trying to keep the 20s and get the 19s but im eyeing bbs so it could be a dear fudge up lol :'(

death would follow im sure and all 8 wheels feed to me lol

do the vrs's have small arches?i ran an 18x10 rim on the bk of my golf with a stretch on the tyre with no problems
