getting my new tyres fitted mobile

Featured Replies

Im getting two new front tyres fitted nextweek and paying £16 for the changeover including valve+balancing. That is £8 per wheel.

I bought the tyres elsewhere online as was cheaper.

I've used his guy before and he is very honest and reliable plus does a proper job on balancing unlike many others i've had the mispleasure to deal with.

Just wondering really about the price! he's not making much money but i'm sure this type of price is about par. He has got to travel to me (i think he's 4-5 miles away),spend 30-40 minues doing it then go. So question really is why are mobile tyre fitters so cheap? i know they dont have the overheads like garagers but still they need to take into consideration fuel, equipment, time?

it just seems quite a low price and it got me wondering thats all.

My local Tyre company, Knaresborough Tyre's, can usually beat on-line tyre companies and that includes fitting, new valve and balancing

£8 per corner is a very good price though
