Smelly Washer Jets

Featured Replies

Just used the washer jets today and the car instantly smelled of rotten eggs, terrible smell. So I have used and abused the windscreen washers  until empty, and now plan on trying some sort of wash/clean routine. Anyone tried this, any suggestions? I have not attempted removing the washer bottle, is this an easy job?

Alternatively I am contemplating some sort of disinfectant followed by plenty of water then some fresh screen wash. I think I mixed two different brands of screen wash recently and this is what has done it. A few days ago it was all fine, I don't know what happened :S

Thanks for the suggestions :D

I was thinking bicarbonate of soda and vinegar in some boiled water.

Had this myself on a few cars, I ended up just filling the washer bottle, then syphoning it empty. Then repeating this two or three times. Took about 10 minutes.

Like the idea of false teeth cleanser tablets. Give it a try.

dont use the cheap stuff as this tends to

be more prone.

no pong.
