Anyone looked Service schedule handbook

Featured Replies

Completly bored so i though ill check out the books . Things to note i have the 2.0 TSI petrol engine (vrs Le), i wanted to see if the cambelt needs to be changed at 4 years so i looked and guess what it doesnt.

schedule advies its to be changed at 180,000km :wonder: and first change for the spark plugs is 90,000km.

i know the older petrol had to be changed at 4 years, but is it now cos the TSI has a chain it can last longer, and plugs do they actualy last up to 90k???

I would change before say at 40000 miles as you might as well get the benefit rather than the person you sell it to By the way it is 55923.407 mi. when converted from km

My MK6 1.6 CR TDI Golf hasa recommended belt change at 300,000 Km ( approx 200,000 miles) . This is largely due to the introduction of new technology belts (" High Flex" construction) by Continental ( Contitech) . Look at Contitech's website. Similary new spark plugs ( platnum ) last much longer than the old technology types.
