Not sure if this has been posted before, but this site has a nice video and written review of the Yeti (and other Skoda models):

Link opens at an Octavia vRS review, but you can search for the Yeti one.

I looked at quite a few of the 4X4 reviews, and find the style of analysis quite sober and neutral from a brand standpoint. There is one thing they miss about the 4WD softroaders or crossovers as he calls them. He keeps analyzing their "Off-Road" ability but completely ignores the on-road slippery condition ability, which is where most people will have a real benefit.

If you look at where the Haldex 4 came from - a Swedish company who initially designed the´Haldex 4 for SAAB. The technology that SAAB prides themselves on is putting a lot of horsepower down to a poor road surface. Not crossing the Serengeti, competing in the Baja California races or off-roading in the Rockies. No, it is not sliding off the road when powering through a bend on a snowcoverd road - or moving along on some of the 1000's of dirt and gravel roads they have in Northern Sweden.

he does make a valid point (in the Octavia Scout review) that the Haldex and a bit more ground clearance does not really let you go off-road - that needs tyres designed for it, at h´they are basically a pain to drive on every day.
