New model ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, just came accross your forum in the midst of looking into buying an Octavia.

Haven't test driven one yet, but it looks like a good car - I'd be planning on buying a new 1.4tsi elegance. The purpose for my post is just to ask a couple of questions. Does anyone know when the next generation Octavia is due to be launched - anytime soon? I'm aware the current model has been out since 2004, with a recent face lift. Also, I'm not quite certain about the optional light assistant function - if I added that to my car it would give me automatic headlamps as well as daytime running lights?

Thanks for any replies.

Golf VII should be on 2013, so expect new Octavia on 2014...

2014. Really, I was thinking it might be sooner than that as this current model has been around since 2004 - or are Skoda counting the recent face lift as their new model?

Well, thanks for the reply on that anyway.

Anyone have any ideas about this light assistant function?

Cheers.

Light assist is auto-lights.

DRL can be enabled separately.

The Mk6 golf is really more of a Mk5.5 than an entirely new car.

The Seat Leon is still on the Mk5 platform like the Octavia so Cepi is probably about right for the Mk2 Octavia coming in at least a couple of years time.

It will be around 2012 I think. http://octinfo.com/index.php?p=octavia3_intro_en

Anyhow, following Golf MK7 is also the other -more favorable for us, Octy 2 owners- probability. Despite the fact I knew these info, I have a 6 days old 1.2 TSI Octy parked outside!B)
