Electrical Help Req'd please!?!?!?

Featured Replies

Hello

So, I've done a silly thing with my Octy 1... and wondered if anyone else had had a similar problem??

Here goes: I took the ASR switch out of the dash and took it apart.... then put it back together as I plugged it back in... the bloomin spring inside pinged out and bridged a connection (my own fault for leaving the ignition on!!! :( )...... POP goes the fuse!!!!! Result.... ABS and ASR lights stay on in dash cluster.... hand break light flashes!

So, the fuse I have now replaced.. but for some reason the ASR now defaults to being OFF, but the switch still works to turn it ON again! WEIRD and not to detremental but has anyone got any ideas????

When you say turn it off do you mean that the light is not on?

When the light is on the ASR is off.

When the light is on the ASR is off.

That's right... the ASR usually defaults to OFF (light not on), but now the light is always on when I turn on the ignition and stays on until I turn it off at the button!

That sounds perfect, not right, but perfect
