Another big mouth!

Featured Replies

As per topic, decided to carry out the big mouth mod after seeing all the fabias at castle combe.

Heres my effort:

Need to get an adhesive numberplate this weekend!

I had a go at fitting my LCR splitter but I knew I was going to balls it up so I've booked my car into the body shop to have my spoiler sprayed as the lacquers peeling. Also getting them to colour code the door handles, the side strips, the grill surround and getting them to fit the splitter.

Currently in the process of spraying my wheels too which have so far (touch wood) come out ok but i'll post the pictures up when complete :)

All opinions welcome

nice mod

Nice and clean job there Nick

Do you have an aftermarket FMIC? Hence looking for more power or is the mod purely for the look? B)

these are popping up every day! Very nice!

its a 3 day weekend this weekend

Thanks, no I don't but the idea is for it to tempt me into getting one before my ring trip later this year :)

Oooo... I want to so this too now, seems quite straight forward however I dont have a hot gun.. :(

As for adhesive number plates I think ebay ones are going for around £13? might be worth a look..

looking great btw..!

Oh Big Mouth

Looking Good....

As for the Adeshive Plate .. They are illegal you know :giggle:

So seeing as you are already illegal .. here is how i did mine for £3.00

I bought a white stick on screen/sun visor .. Then purchased the Stick on Number plate letters from a Motor factors.

Stuck the Letters on the strip, Cut the strip to size & then stuck it on the car .... ;)

It does not have to be a sun Visor, any white adhesive strip will do ..

tidy job youve made, personally not a fan of stick on side mounted plates, why dont you consider a slightly smaller normal plate and mount it on the lip centrally at top of bumper?

Sorry to sound silly but has anyone tried mounting original plate with some adhesive and some heat treatment to the plate to get it to bend obviously :)

I didn't use a heat gun, the bumper cuts very easily with just a stanley knife tbh! And thanks, i'll have a look :)

Yeah I know, but there are far worse laws I could be breaking :) Not sure if i'd want to put the letters on myself, no matter how long and how hard I tried I know its going to end skew wiff :D

I have considered such options along with a smaller plate right at the bottom of the bumper however seem to have my mind set on the side mounted adhesive plate. And thanks :)

Yeah it was spot on mate, good call. Only issue I have is the sides arent flush up against the bumper as much so as i'd like them, will try a few things when the weather picks up though :)
