Yeti - is it cool?

Featured Replies

Me, I think the Yeti's cooler than Mr. Cooly McCool with a big bag of cool on his way to the Coolfest in Coolsville.

I personally think on a coolness scale then the Monster would = 0 kelvin which is −273.15 degrees Celsius.

Now you can't get B) than that

Dang - that's brilliant The Plumber!

I so wished I'd put that as my "Uber cool" option.

In fact, I just did

Talking of brilliant Victorian scientists/engineers, here's one of my favourites:

Joseph Bazalgette - Chief Engineer of London's sewage system.

How cool are these dudes? (Thought you'd appreciate that The Plumber B))

You've no idea my friend - at the end of the London sewage system was the Crossness Pumping Station. Inside it were two mighty engines, each engine ran at 11 revolutions per minute, and each engine pumped 6 tons of sewage per stroke into a reservoir, which was then basically emptied straight into the Thames... yummy!

I hope Agerbundsen you were referring to my esteemed predecessor from Yorkshire; Thomas Crapper, Plumber and toilet manufacture  not the poor Monster :giggle:

Oh to dispel the myth he did not invent the loo, just designed and manufactured them. He became famous as his name was emblazoned in the toilet pan in bold letters.

Cooler than Frosty the snow man .. .. ..

Since we're on matters scatological, I expect you all know that it was a Somerset yokel who, in 1874, invented the toilet seat?

And then, in 1875, a London gentleman invented the hole in it.

This of course is the politically corrected version.

I did indeed, and just to make sure - no disrespect intended for either Sir Thomas or the Gentleman handling the effluent. I have also great admration for Isambard Brunel, J. A. Roebling and Richard Trewithick, but not sure if they were Victorians.

..... but where would Yeti be on Top Gear's 'Cool Wall'? Knowing Clarkson probably in the furnace.

I refuse to accept an opinion of what's cool or not from a man who dresses like this, and has a mirkin on his head.

Well, looks to me like the Yeti is going to be "Unexpectedly Cool".

Not that there's any bias at all on this forum, of course :giggle:
