Going to pull my finger out!

Featured Replies

Having enjoyed the few laps around Castle Combe last weekend i really thinks it's about time i started fitted the parts i have collected and left to rot in the garage since some have been in there years!

Hopefully starting Saturday i will fit the parts i need to and then maybe i can start enjoying the car again.

Boost Gauge

TT Jacking Pads

Dogbone Mount fully Superpro bushed up

LCR front splitter

New Gearbox oil

Clutch switch

Oil catch can

Mikalor clip on TIP

Forge short shifter (again)

Forgot W8 light

and

Cold air feed to original airbox i have yet to buy.

After all this is fitted i'm calling it a day tell next year and probably wont spend to much money on the car as its very nice to drive since fitting all the super-pro bushes including rear beam.

Hoping to go to the ring this year as the Wife said she will pay for my birthday and maybe get a track day in as well.

Good luck buddy, May re fit my original airbox again that has been definned with green panel filter and cold air feed to it from bumper. Think it might suit my de cat down pipe better than my CAI.

I just miss that noise

Plans sound good mate. What are the TT jacking pads?

i have been told a definned air box with a good panel filter and a good cold feed to the bumper is better than a ind kit or cai and many tuners this method on their own race cars

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't fitted the catch can yet lol

I got the hose from Samco last week and it was wrong so I am waiting for replacement :dull:

Sounds like a fun bank holiday wkend!!

I will be fitting a LCR splitter too, I got my inspiration from all the mk1's Octys at Castle Coombe!!!

Steve

Got a TT steering rack I still haven't fitted, that's the only thing still to put on mine... not sure I can be bothered though!

Oh and sort the rear washer nozzle out... for the 3rd time!

I'll take that tt rack if u don't want it !

You're in Ireland aren't you? Shipping might be a bit dear

Well that's what I get for living on a island

I have done the the definning before on an old airbox, but may do it again when i fit the cold air feed.Hopefully a 4" feed to the airbox from front nearside grill once i have snapped the plastic out.

Going to fit the LCR spoiler but i have a feeling it won't last long around my way (bloody speed bumps)

OCC has been sat there for 6 months but some things have been there for over 2 years.

Never get time since having little 'un.

Yep same as what I did use a 4" feed from the near side grill up past battery and into airbox

Yep again lost mine a month back. I like the spiltter but also like getting into multi story carparks now :giggle:

Try it with 4 kids...

although the oldest is 20 now so helps me. Youngest is 2 yes 2..

I have drained OCC 4 times in the last 6 months so works well.

Fitted the W8 light last night as well as wiring up the boost gauge.Just need to feed the pipe into the engine bay and connect it up now.

It is easier to feed the boost pipe up by the main wiring loom where the drivers wiper arm is?

Also found a cracking vid on how to reset your gearbox linkages once i have re-fitted the Forge short shifter.

did you fit the jacking pads Jay? what they like? are they worth doing?

Nice find on the vid mate, I'm gonna give that a try tomorrow

I have had a day of it as well, finally fitted the OCC that, the same as yours, has been sat there for the last 6 months lol.

The shocking thing is I cleaned my TB and related pipes 3 weeks ago and they were already oily again :dull: so should be well worth doing.

That vid is great Jay! Anyone done this yet....any improvement?
