cabin smell

Featured Replies

Morning

I have gained the smelly air-con problem only the smell is only present in ECON mode, it smells like wet dog. Are there any filters used in ECON mode that aren't used in AUTO. Have used an A?C cleaner bomb from Car Plan in the past to clean the A/C side but not the ECOn side any ideas??????????

Check the spare tyre well in boot to make sure there is no water lying there first, I had cabin smell and after checking I found that rear washer hose was leaking into the boot. Smell disappeared after this was repaired. Hope this helps

also check behind the carpet in the boot sides, quite a bit of water can get in there without you knowing. you might have to remove the cd changer as the washer pipe is behind it.

also its a pig to put the small side cage thing back.

try one of those aircon bomb type things, they are a can that you press and discharge in the car (minus occupants) letting it circ in the aircon sytem for about 10mins, used it on mine before and it works, plus they were selling them at aldi for £1.99 a few weeks ago!
