dual floor

Featured Replies

I have ordered the boot liner and the previous thread says it won't fit, anyone know why as I will not be paying 50 quid if it is a dud. I thought the second floor just raises the level. Surely the boot is still the same size?

Variable boot floor has straight sides and is the width of the boot at its narrow end i.e. behind the seats, so you end up with a 'gap' at each side in the area adjacent to the side storage panels. The boot mat tends to hang into these gaps. However, I have the plastic boot tray and it must be a bit more rigid because so far it's still lying flat across the top of the gaps.

Sarge.

I have the rubber mat on my 57 Elegance Estate. I wouldnt worry about it too much. Yes their are gaps on each side that the mat hangs into but I've not found it to be a problem. In fact it sometimes leaves a little handy space to stick things into ! I also prefer the rubber mat and would not swap it to the plastic one even if offered. Hope this makes you fell better about your purchase :-)

If you do a search of the forum for variable boot floor (or through Google) you'll find some pictures, I was searching the other day when trying to fit mine and found some.

I've got the bootliner in my estate and tbh, I think it would fit better if I had the raised floor.

The side gaps are just enough to wedge plantpots and bottles into.
