Wax question

Featured Replies

When i get my car back and i get some pennies together i was thinking of waxing my car.

However my car has a supaguard application, i was thinking about collinite 476 for its long lasting durability and good refletive shine.

Can this be applied over the supaguard?

Or is there a better product for a anthracite gray car (and if my gf is lucky i'll do her new car too (yellow)).

I don't think the wax will go cloudy over supagard and i think it should look good when it's just been buffed. Could you post how long the wax lasts when you do it? I'd be interested to know. I'm thinking it's either going to be a few days (disaster!) or it'll be fine and last for over a month, just not sure which.

Supagard makes it hard for anything to adhere to the surface so the wax shouldn't stick very well but it'd be good to see the real world results.

You'll be absolutely fine applying any wax over the Supagard.

476S is a good wax, very good durability and easy to apply & remove...cheap too!

I'd go for a pure wax to complement the sealant base, so its something like Pete's 56 or liquid like Clearkote CMW.

I'll also be applying by hand (first time i'll have waxed a car too) and dont have a garage so will be done outside unfortunatly. dunno if this will make a diff to choice of wax.
