VRS Front Grill FL

Featured Replies

A Rav4 has reversed into my 3 week old car and smashed the grill and scratched the bumper.

A replacement grill with badges is £107.19 from Skoda! (glad im not having to pay)

Do you know how the grill is changed? Also it doesn't appear that the badges on attached - do these just glue on?

If youre not paying, the dealer will fit it wont they???

I suppose so but can't really be doing with leaving car there whilst they do it - just more hassle that i can't be doing with if it is easy to do myself.

You know you want that grill colour coded while its off?!! call the Rav4 incident destiny!!

aye I'd get it colour coded at the sametime might aswel. Dont supose you have the part number?

Actually does anyone have any pictures of stock but colorcoded grille on FL?

hmmm don;t think it would look right Red. Chrome part isn't really damaged but im getting the whole lot replaced so will have a spare chrome one to play around with. Just need to know if it is easy to remove and refit them and the crack with having to glue the badges on?

I disagree, there is a member with a red grill on his pre-FL vRS and it looks the mutts nuts! I just did a search but can't find it, sorry. With regards grill and badge removal I should imagine it is very similar to mine which was quite straight forward, just be careful of any small plastic retaining clips around the grill perimeter as these can break. The badge can be tricky, as there are 2 locating lugs that are melted once the badge is installed, you can snip these from behind then use fishing line to ease the badge off. Despite cutting the lugs I re-used my badge, fixing it with numberplate double sided foam pads.

I am sure there is a thread with pictures showing the removal and refit of a pre-facelift grill.

HTH Lee.
