Breather Pipe

Featured Replies

Hi

Everyone zampa here not been on here for some time and I was wondering if you could help.

Fabia Elegance Estate 1.4 16v AUB (Y) 2001

Replaced air filter and noticed gunk in the breather pipe, I could not get the blighter off at the bottom then disaster! the plasic piece which attaches to the oil seperator has plastic clips, I broke the clips. I called the dealer he said that he would order it. Went to pick up the pipe which I thought would come with the plastic end measuring approx 38mm, how wrong I was. He has now said that there has been a design change and would now cost around £65 for a new oil seperator. There is a code number on the plastic piece and it does come up as the oil seperator which I find a bit funny as the plastic piece I need would only cost around £2.

Q1. Do Skoda sell these seperately.

Q2. Can I just buy a silicone elbow with a 38mm diametor for one end and use a jubilee clip.

Q3. Can I get a sealant and use that, if not under pressure.

Any help would be an help.

A bit long winded I know.

Thanks

zampa
