I expect im being extremely thick but I just tried to fit my new roof aerial but couldnt get the old one off, it appears to be wound all the way out but will not come off, is there a nack to it?

give it a good hard tug (the ariel that is ) once its unscrewed. it does require a bit of force because its some sort of anti theft thing

You have to be pretty brutal with it to be honest!

If you're worried about wrecking stuff then hold onto the aerial mount with one hand while you pull the aerial with the other.

I used a Snap - On - Tools plastic rivett popper, the aerial came out easily.

Incidentally, on fitting a new shorter aerial the reception was atrocious, after one day I put the original Skoda aerial back.

I tried two different ones and got the same sh!t reception! straight back to the original

It seriously wont come off! :(

The one I bought is an amplified one and I rarely use the radio so it doesnt bother me.
