All windows found open

Featured Replies

hi,

I returned home from shopping leaving the car on the drive unlocked. When returning to the car half an hour later I found all the windows completely open.

Has anybody else had similar problems with the windows opening automatically?

i have a yeti 2litre 110bhp SE.

Thanks

I know it's a longshot but did you leave any windows open? If so a cat may possibly have jumped in and pressed the 'unlock' button between the front seats. If you press it long enough it opens all the windows. More likely is that you may have accidently pressed the unlock on your key fob for a long time whilst grappling with shopping. That will open all the windows too.

Are you sure it wasn't the neighbours having a laugh :giggle:

Sounds like the door open button was depressed when you left the car............

I have had this before and it rained.......

When I was a child our car was sitting on the drive and the front car seat headrest spontaneously starting burning. Eventually my Dad worked out that the sun had shone through the sunroof that had been left open and rays hit the front sun visor that had been left down. It had a plastic mirror stuck to it that had warped so it was concave. The exact focal point of the rays from the mirror centred on the headrest. On this hot summer's day it set the car on fire! Bizarre things happen on a drive!

This happened to my Dad a couple of times with his previous Superb I. Turned out that he kept his key in a trouser pocket, resulting in the unlock button getting pressed every so often; long enough to lower the windows :o

TP

my BM Wabbleyou did this on one of the wrost snowy nights of the, I must have sat on the "open" button in the house (car is park just a few yards fron the window, 8" of snow on the seat in the morning
