It looks like its on the ABI list http://www.thatcham.org/abigrouprating so your insurance company should be able to quote.

I had the same problem trying to insure my Octavia Elegance 1.4TSi DSG a year ago when I must have been one of the first to take delivery of that model in the UK. The car at that time did not appear on my insurance company's database. They stated I was covered OK for that car since, according to them, it had been input manually on their system. Eventually, after a week or two, it was added to their database and the accurate descriptive documents were finally issued. That interim period did not inspire confidence at all leaving a feeling of vulnerability. I recall many irate phone calls incurred which were akin to banging one's head against a brick wall! I even tried several online quotes with other companies just to see if the car was listed anywhere but no sign of it initially.

Have you looked at what Skoda quoted anyway? With the seven days, they give you a years quote.... It may be ok and easier to go with that or even take a months cover whilst other insurance companies play "Catch-up"!!!

I did think of that but im only 90 days short of another years NCB with direct line.

I get 7 days free with skoda but after that any ideas?

Is that because you are continuing with Skoda insurance from before, or is this standard on new Skodas?

Please find below insurance group rating for the F/L Fabia

The 7 day insurance is part of the approved Skoda Retailer network, offered with every sold car sold from the retailer.

With new Skoda's you get comlimentary 7 days insurance, plus they give you an anual quote at the same time... The downside to the 7 days is that there is a £500 xs if you damage/write off or have the car stolen. Of course, it will then be replaced anyway!
