Dension 300 + Stream Radio Not working - help!

Featured Replies

Had a Dension GW 300 unit sat around, bought from a fellow Briskodian - currently I also have a Stream (non MP3) radio. Finally got around to installing the unit, straightforward enough it seemed.

Attached connector to socket after disconnecting my CD Changer, powered up radio and .. nothing. That is to say, the radio works fine, but the unit reports 'NO CDC'. With my iPhone 3G plugged in, no charge icon - however it does state 'This device is not compatible ..' - usual message for accessories not certified with the device.

Any ideas? Is there some sort of initialisation routine I have to follow or should it simply 'pop up'?

Heeelp!

OK, so, another case of RTFM. It was indeed the fact that the ground wire was not connected to anything. All working now, and very good it is too.

Good to here the grounding sorted the problem.

Hi mate, i am considering to buy Dension system but i am confused a bit. The GW 300 (you have) is NOT compatible with any Stream HU on their list. You say that it is working with your Stream HU. So where is the truth? :) all i considering buy GW300 (instead of Lite version which is compatible for streeam) is because i have Maxidot and want see ID3 on it- Stream HU is not able to show ID3. So do you have Maxidot? Can you see ID3 on it? Let me know please.

Thanks Pete
