Ok it appears mine has a life of its own,

Neighour woke me at 5am yesterday when she was going to work saying it was making a noise by time I got some trousers on it couldnt be heard until this morning when I walked past the car and the pump started all by itself, I didnt even have the keys with me .

Later got into car to go to work after I got there turned off engine and then pump kept going, quick fiddle under the bonnet found some relays I pulled one and it stopped put it back in and it started again so whipped it out again.

Only thing I have noticed driving it home this evening was the engine check light coming on thought B***X whats going on and then remebered I had took a relay out.

Question is has the relay gone kaputski? am I doing any harm driving it without the relay in it?

(Relay removed was in engine bay up by bulkhead on side near MAF relay on the left of the 2 think its got a number 100 on it)

the check light has come on because the relay has been removed so sees a loss of air

this will cause no harm just annoying that the check light will come on

option 1 remove pump and put a resistor in the wiring job done no cel light and no annoying pump any more

got a duff shoulder at mo so think option 1 will be new relay until shoulder improves a lot

As far as I know a resistor won't do it. I had to get my CEL mapped out

no mate its all straight forward, the only thing i left was the bracket that holds the pump on as i didnt have an allen key socket at the time. other than that its all good

fantastic and the rest of the system rob removed are they just to tidy up or any improvement
