Ok guys I just tried to de badge the boot on my octy 2. The TDi badge gone not a prob. But how do u get rid of the glue that stuck octavia down .

Amy advice greatly received.

Hi, i debadged my superb using a piece of dental floss doubled over, to get rid of the glue i used a soft rag and white spirit, I then gave the paint work a good waxing, job done.

Meths and a bit of elbow grease mate.

If the glue is really sticky, get some alcohol wipes from a chemist or the chemist counter at a supermarket.

You usually have to buy a box but they're useful for all sorts of cleaning, especially electrical contacts....such as when cruise control stops working and contacts have to be cleaned !!

An you get no residue left !

Cheers guys I will try these next week. It looks like the octavia bit might of been re glued on cos it like blotches of glue not the sticky tape stuff.

Mines getting done by the dealer when its delivered, he said that when they debadge their cars they usually use a bit of petrol to get the adhesive off before giving it a good wax/polish afterwards
