Hello all,

First of all I'd like to point out that I'm completely new to Forums so please bear with me. Owner of a 52 Superb 1.9TDi 130 since November and am pretty chuffed with it so far. I haven't had to do a great deal to it except repair a vacuum pipe that had been worn through by the air intact ducting rubbing on it, which seems to be not to well designed / routed.

I know this is my first post and I will obviously be grateful of any advice guidance received, so here comes the niggles......the car hesitates very occaisonally almost like the engine cuts out for a fraction of a second when you lift your foot of the accelerator possibly (can't be certain, happens so infrequently) when reducing speed or changing gear, then it's all back to normal. Thought I might of fixed it when I repaired the vacuum pipe but alas no. The car also idles roughly occaisonally at junctions then when you increase the engine speed it clears then settles back down to a rough idle, however a blast up the road and all is back to normal? And finally, just started to notice much black smoke intermittently on start up?

Someone has mentioned EGR valve and also I've been looking into a Turbo cleaning kit but haven't learned enough about either yet.

Many thanks.
