Multi-Function Steering Wheel - What Do You Get?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm about to order a 1.4TSI Elegance through Drive the Deal.

If I specify "4 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio including Maxi-Dot" does that mean I get the maxi-dot computer and buttons to control it on the steeering wheel? Or, does it mean I just get the buttons on the steering wheel and I still have to pay another £130 and specify Maxidot on the order as well?? Hope that makes sense!!

Ben

You get Maxi-dot and the steering wheel with buttons on it

Buttons for what?

Buttons for what?

Steve

Volume and skip forward/back for the stereo, answering the phone (if you have that option fitted) and navigating the Maxidot menus

So you loose the little rocker switch on the end of the RHS stalk?Do the buttons drive an iPod if you have the MDI?

Yes, the stalk functionality is replaced by the buttons on the steering wheel and I don't have MDI, but believe that the skip forward/back would work on the iPod, yes

Supposedly any new Elegance orders should have a 3 spoke MFSW as standard (since they will all be built after wk22), so you might want to save your money

Details here

Not clear if you need to still order Maxidot.

Nothing in the 1/4/10 brochure (the one that can be downloaded from the Skoda website) about the elegance having a 3 spoke MFSW as standard. Is this brochure now out of date?
