Am I missing something - with the VAT-free and 0% finance offers you can buy a Scout for less than this one is used. Why would you buy it?

It's £1000 more than I paid for my brand new one, and it's second hand! Plus mine has more extras

On the other hand the buyer won't have to wait 3 months to pick it up!

Yeah thats the one. The girl was just taking that pic when I was their. I've taken some from other angles. After seeing it I cant wait for mine to arrive !

Very, dare I say it, handsome I think.

For me, its a toss up between the various metallic silvers which suit the Scout - I was torn between Arctic, Aqua, Silver, Beige and Satin Grey. Went for the latter in the end, but still not sure - they all look great!

Also I think this illustrates how uninspiring the dealer shots are - I know Rainworths don't employ David Bailey, but if your job depended on it, you would think more effort would be made. They are not the worst to be fair - and obviously people don't buy on looks alone.

Hi Les. Do you mean the pics on the link on my first post because I took them on my mobile phone !

In defence of the lady who took the pics for Rainworth she did look like a pro. I've worked in the newspaper industry for years so can spot them a mile off. She was very, very nice and seemed very interested in the car.

She was keen to talk about it and discuss the colour etc. Considering she's probably a freelance a reccon Rainworths should have her selling motors or in somekind of PR role !!!

On the picture side of things ( also in defence ) theirs not really much scope for presenting the cars well from a dealer forcourt and I guess the dealer does not have the time or rescource to take them anywhere else.

That green on the Scout though does look much, much better in the flesh than the pics.

Yeh - I think the mob pics look much better - the colour and angles are a bit more interesting.

If I was a dealer (oh yeh as if) I'd take them at some local beauty spot whenever the weather was decent - without adding any mileage of course!

I agree I don't think pics do these light metallics any favours - I was very impressed by an Aqua Blue one - again much better in the metal.

Right - must stop navel gazing now - I have ordered Satin Grey and that IS the best OK!

Whatever ..... Lol !
