Milltek Resonated cat back system for vRS

Featured Replies

Hi all. Was wondering how a milltek cat back resonated system would sound on my mk2 octavia vRS. I used to have a loud cat back system on my previous vectra and it produced incredible droning and booming under acceleration. Was great for a while but became tiresome. I liked the fact the stock system on the vRS is quiet and wish to increase performance without sacrificing sound comfort. Any ideas?? thx.

Whilst I appreciate that its a completely different car to yours,

I just had a blueflame cat back fitted to my furby.

In my case any way virtually no difference in sound type or level from the stock pipe.

A slightly lower tone is noticible when the rear of the car is enclosed by buildings.

Other than that, you'd never know.

I think blueflame make an octy system? But If so I'm sure there's someone on here who's had one

ive heard them a few times. and imo it was far to quiet.

The miltek non res sounds alot better whilst not producing a drone or anything like that. Miltek also seem more expensive than he other options

ive got a full milltek ( inc the less restrictive cat ) fitted to my mk1 ..... sounds deep on tick over ( not too much ) but really screams over 4000 revs ... sounds totally different over this range ... insane !!!
