All these re-mapps knock out about the same..........210-215 ish BHP.

The only differance is who has the bigest bul****ting rolling road set up!

I am fed up of hearing that AMD or Jabba has got Ex amount out vRS when WE hear from a lot of people that it is NOT possable to get THAT sort of BHP on the standard Motor.

A number of people have been to a rolling road test days and found out just much they had their leg lifted by!

Its worth doing, but i wish the bul**** would stop!

Cheers

Mike

I'm booked in for a remap with Jabba, and to be honest dont care about the BHP i get on the RR, as long as it feels faster. I would say 210 is a good increase so i would be happy if i got a genuine 210 :) Nverermind 230 or more!

Ask anyone who i took around Anglesey last sunday what difference a remap makes..

I do believe it was a remapped Fabia vRS driver who commented on how much torque it had for a petrol engine....i was in 3rd gear most of the time ;)

On 18th of Jan i will be able to confirm all of this myself :D i don't doubt it will be well worth the money!

I see from some of the profiles, that a few of you are from Oxfordshire?

Im from Oxfordshire myself!

:P As a qualified engineer..(Ford rs technician) they wouldn`t be able to pull the wool over my eyes:finger: i asked to see the calibration certificates for the rollers which was shown with no hassle.....as a techie most equipment in the garage has to be calibrated by an outside source, so who`s fooling who??

i watched my car being done as i know the guys @ AMD and can assure you the 194bhp it achieved before remap was TRUE, as for bhp after, well as said before figures are pub talk, the car pulls much better and it has happily mated all my other mods; into account......do the mods; before remap guys:rolleyes:

 Phil

Yes a re-map is worth doing , but i wonder what a "Normal" engine map from an Audi TT (210 version) would cost?

Your ENGINE CAN NOT MAKE THAT SORT OF BHP, Not with the set up/Turbo its got!

You and the others are getting their legs lifted and thats a fact, some even from this BB have tried their cars on somebody elses RR and found that thier Octy made 213 bhp not 230 ish!

All Jabba/REVO/AMD are doing is selling you a version of the 210 Audi map!

Cheers

Mike

Really, think I can say from 1st hand experiance that is a load of *******s.

If you are given an before and after readout on the same rolling road on the same day a 50 bhp increase is just that, wheather its from 100 to 150 or 200 to 250 its just the same.

The actual bhp is irrelevant as we all know measured on a different rolling road on a different day its not going to be the same.

what is the difference in the top end speed on a re mapped car ?

Not Sure on that one, somebody told me that Revo said 157 MPH but that seems like your average RR bullsh*t. I assume that the stock is said to be 144 that 152 feels about right (210-215 bhp).

Cheers

Mike

It also has to be taken into account that Phil had a turbo back exhaust on plus induction kit whne he had his "before" session done.

top end speed should be the same though? Unless they increase the rev limit and remap the gearbox and too ;)
