High Level Brake Light Fabia Mk2

Featured Replies

I recently bought a replacement car for my mother which is 08 plate Fabia 3 1600cc petrol from our local main dealer which is still under skoda warranty and have noticed that the high level brake light has at least 4 LEDs not working , are these sort of faults covered under the warranty on second hand cars ?

I shouldn't think LED's cost that much, but I'd just go to the dealers and ask if they can sort those 4 leds out.

on a different subject, how do you take the cover off so you can clean the glass behind it.

My Mk1 Fabia has these. They failed under warranty and were replaced FOC because they are not user-replaceable items.

I had the door bulbs replaced on my mk1 fabia under warranty.

If you just got it recently, they should replace them to make the car "fit for purpose" or of "merchantable quality" as the car is manufactured with them and I believe, high level brake lights are now a legal requirement on new vehicles.
