Hi Guys,

My new wheels arrived today :) , fingers crossed gonna get my tyres swapped from my existing wheels onto these on friday (wonder how much this will cost ?) , can't wait :D , think I'm gonna call in the local skoda garage and get a new set of the plastic nut covers as they look the perfect colour match to the wheels, think I'm going to get a new set of security bolts too or are the std skoda ones ok ?

ok here's a teaser pic

nice wheels bud :)

as far as im aware, standard vag wheels use a bevel cup wheel bolt and the wheels are made to suit..... if u use an after market alloy wheel, you will need to buy new taper bolts as the vag bolts wont seat properly on your new wheels ...

your existing security bolts may not fit either if it is the type that has the rotating ring on the outer of the head of the bolt then you may have probs fitting the "key" to the top of it to tighten/remove them...( and of course the taper will be wrong too :(

lol sorry :giggle: , 'There here' corrected, what can I say I'm excited !

The wheels came with 20 bolts just checked one to make sure they fit (it does) and the tapered shoulder of the bolt does seem more pronounced on the new bolts, so will make sure these get used when the new wheels go on. The existing security bolts are the standard vrs ones which don't have a rotating collar so perhaps they will be ok ?.

Alan

Nice...

What colour's your Vrs, red perhaps? Just curious

Yup, it's a red one :)

Thought so,

The red lip will match up with car perfectly! Might not look as good if the car was say, blue or silver!

You'll have to post some pics when they're on!

what bore are your wheels Alan? ie the bit where your hub slides into your wheel, some times when u get mulitfits you might need to fit spigot rings to make the fit properly

keep away from the kerb...

Thanks for that, the wheels came with a set of rings (spigots ?) that fit inside the wheels, behind the centre if you get what I mean ?

Cheers

Sorry they are 16's, I couldn't afford any new bigger tyres !

Nice :)

Would have liked them not to say wolfrace but hey ho!

Very Nice

Is the red on the Edge a Rim protector for tyre fitment or part of the wheel ? If not i hope your tyre fitters take care & don't scuff it for you .....

The red is actually on the rim (painted ?) I'm hoping they are careful when fitting too , wonder if it would be possible for them to fit the tyres from the back of the wheel ?

Alan

a competant tyre fitter shud do it without probs as the machine arm is placed against the wheel it then moves a few mm away avoiding contact.

From the box pic they look nice; get some pics up when they're fitted though

On the security bolts issue, you may well find that the Skoda ones aren't long enough. Easiest way is to compare a standard wheel bolt to the Wolfrace supplied ones, if you're able.

If they don't fit, think about ordering a suitable set of McGard ones.

they're a nice wheel. very light i believe aswell!! i enquired about a green rim but...emoticon-0145-shake.gif make sure you put the pics of em on car up asap please emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif
