Seems to me you will need to upgrade engine to cope with extra weight! What was the cost over the basic car?

You're right, the 3.6 Fsi from Superb would do me good :)

Total weight came at 1,645Kg. Basic Scout costs 24,500 euro, I added about 10K extras, then got 10% discount so it came in total at around 31K euro.

Bloody hell - can you get any more kit in there...???

VERY nice - I've just ordered one myself and there are a few options there, which I would have liked if they were available.

- like the short antenna - less likely to get damaged by my bikes/roofbox.

- LIKE the sound system upgrade - what do the speakers say on them?

- heated washers - we don't get those on the options list.

- am quite excited about AFS II and have ordered this on mine.

Les.

Wow!! Very nice...

You've got the floor mats mucky already! :swear:

...& the steering wheel's on the wrong side! :giggle:

:D

Damn I've got ( probably ) until September to wait for mine .... Does anyone know if heated rear seats are available to the UK ? My Mrs would love 'em. What do you think to the 1.8 in the Scout. The dealer I ordered our 1.8 Scout from said just about everyone went for the diesel.

I was scared by the fuel consumption of a 1.8TSI Yeti I test drove in lovely downtown Croydon - I got about 18mpg in busy traffic, so I went for the diesel (and took the risk on the DPF - which is meant to be better behaved with the common rail engine). But the dealer did query that I did enough miles to warrant this, and the petrol performance and refinement was good. I don't think there is much in it - Jeremy Clarkson loved the petrol.

mmmm ... The car will be doing 7k a year max.

Thanks for compliments guys :D

Diesel here is half water so can not risk it and anyway i don' like small engined diesels. I drove my bosses Audi A8 4.2TDi for a year and that engine is the sort of diesel engine i would go for over petrol, but not for a small 4 pot 2 litre deisel engine.

On the speakers it just says "Sound system".

I tell you that even at this weight the 1.8 TSi pulls like a horse, sure i didn't go over 4,500 rpm but you get a nice shove in the back and nice slick gear changes and it should only better with miles.

Since it's a poor country here, you do not have limits on options/trims and models like in UK, here you go at Skoda's website, and just write down anything you see there and the dealer will oblige all happy to order anything you like.

Sounds good - I wish we could do the same - and specify a 3.0 V6 diesel too! Looks like you have a great car there.

No wonder Scouts are comparatively expensive here in Oz - over half your options and accessories are standard fitment on our cars.

ENjoy your Scout!
