Remote door lock/unlock problem

Featured Replies

Hi all!

As a proud owner of Skoda Fabia, it's hard for me to admit that I have a small problem, which, even in the authorized service failed to solve.

Namely, I have a problem with remote locking and unlocking my Skoda Fabia Combi 1.4 MPI 50kW (produced in 2002). Computer diagnostics shows no error in the system, a comfort module is working OK. I was told that there is a "processor in the door" (probably think of the window lifter motor and associated electronics), which probably got wet and that it can cause those problems in the communication of comfort module and door lock. The front doors' electrically lifted windows and lights at the bottom of the door work flawlessly, so it recognizes when the door is opened/closed. Key fobs are rounded, with 2 buttons and they work correctly, too, but... I can't programm them to do the function they intend to do. :-(

What should I do? Has anyone had this or a similar problem.

Best regards and thanks in advance!

Sergei
