I noticed earlier that when i turned the fade on the radio to the rear there was no sound whatsoever..

As my car is an entry level trim it may be that there are no rear speakers but the speaker grills are left on to reduce production costs. If not i could only assume that something is broken..

Any help in clarifying this would be greatly appreciated... Thanks...

If it's level 1 trim then there are no speakers in the rear doors. You will need 6.5 inch speakers, cabling and mounting plates/baffle. The HU is the same as the rest of the range so it does have rear channels.
