problem;battery voltage flattened,radio read SAFE.Now SAFE appears on turning on,with 2 in left bottom corner of display,but 1000 does not appear.Code cannot be inserted.Any suggestions!!!!

On mine (2004), after disconnecting the battery it only requests the code if you turn the radio on before switching the ignition on - switching the ignition on re-syncs the ECU and radio codes. The first time, I switched my radio on first, it prompted for a code, I switched it off, switched the ignition on, and the radio was fine..?
