vRS Fuel Pump gone?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. My beloved vRS has a problem and I suspect its fuel pump related. Rough running on idle, jerking and very little power. Had almost identical problem in my old Vectra and that turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator. The car's only done 50k, didnt think this would happen! Am i in the right ball park or could it be something else like the Cat? Also, the emissions light came on on the dash if this helps... Thx for any responses.

You need to get it hooked up to VCDS really

Where abouts in the UK are you. If you look at the VCDS owners map someone might be nearby who can help.

It could be a no. of things which I could only guess at.

I'm in Folkestone if it helps and I have VCDS

The fuel system in the Vectra is very different to the vRS. Frankly I think its unlikely to be the fuel pump. Before jumping to conclusions you need to do some diagnosis - a scan is the first step.

Sounds like a coil pack may of failed but as others have said you need to get it on a diagnostic check to see what fault codes are present.
