hi all, does anyone know how hard cambelt change is on a 1.9 sdi octavia, 2003 model, looked in autodata and says you have to take cam pully off, i dont understand why id need to do that, and also what special tools are involved in doing the job? thanks all duncan.

The only reason I can see why you might need to remove the cam drive pulley would be if it was worn.

it shows you in autodata taking off the cam pully and using a setting bar, but as you say i cant see why id need to do that unless its worn, but then could well be with 300 k on the clock! lol
