Fitting GSM myself

Featured Replies

Could I do this on my own or does it need a pro?

Depends what kit you are fitting

What have you got in mind

You need to know what you're doing with it and you'll need a laptop with VCDS installed on it so that you can tell the car that it has been installed & activated.

Without it being activated by VCDS, then it's as good as invisible. It's probably best if you leave it to someone like Ben at Shark to do it, he did mine for me.

Not strictly true, when I installed the Fiscon I could use it on the Bolero without any coding, including making and receiving calls, however I couldn't use Maxidot or MFSW until I'd had it coded.
