Bi Halogen not switching to main beam on drivers side

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have recently purchased a used Fabia MKII to replace my old Furby. Very happy with so far. :)

I have noticed that on the drivers side the lights won't switch to main beam or level using the 0 - 3 adjustment on the dashboard. On the passengers side all seems fine. So I'm guessing this a fault with the Bi halogen mechanism? I think this system works my some sort of mechanical shutter adjustment - is my thinking correct?

There is lots of clunking noise from the passenger’s side when I flick the main beam, but all is quiet on the driver’s side. Is there anything I can check before I try and get the dealer to fix under warranty (hopefully)? I have checked the fuse for main beam and its fine and I'm guessing this fuse is shared by both sides.

Thanks

Its you've only just purchased it, take it back to the dealer and get it fixed.
