turbo problems (power)

Hi I have a 55 plate octavia vrs which i bought 6 months ago. I no it had a new turbo fitted just before i bought it (not sure which type but i know it is not the standard skoda one and it cost £300). There has always been problems at the top end where the power dies away. No it reaches 3 and a half to 4000 revs and completley dies.....this means i can only reach certain speeds in certain gears before the car just stops accelerating all together...my top speed at the minute is 90mph in 5th.....help me!

Slow down for starters!

Get it scanned - find a Brisky member with VCDS & see if any fault codes are showing?

edit out that figure mate. unless you were on a private road of course. it has been known for guys to get into bother after talking about speeding or vids etc

Of course it was on a private road! the engine management light isnt on....should i still get it scanned?

Hi guys new to the forum so hello I have a problem with my boot when I unlock the vehicle the boot will not unlock. but when I push the middle button ie boot unlock icon the boot will unlock. I have tested the switch and it is fine has anyone else had the same problem at all.... Regards Dan.

Hi everyone, Anyone had TPMS issues with their Octavia Mk 4s. There are many posts on the forum and the Internet regarding TPMS issues but nothing related to the Octavia Mk 4 in particular. Quite a few posts for VAG group as a whole, but no fixes published. Seeing as many of us are suffering Software issues with the Mk4, I thought I would add this post. Hello people, I got a 2011, VRS a few days ago. Primarily for a long trip. Seems decent so far, but I want to add power, music and just get things working. I have a few issues/questions. The Veritate wheels on my Superb have limited access between the spokes, so cleaning the barrel and behind the spokes is a chore but possible with the right selection of brushes and woolies. BUT ... the numbnuts that designed the wheel added a 'gutter' around the barrel just behind the spokes. It collects a pool of rainwater when parked and is a magnet for brake dust and tar. Getting into the gutter to clean it is almost impossible - I can't even reach it all with my fingertips and a wheel mi

Good afternoon all. After not using my heater/blower for a couple of months. Turned on last week and aircon was blowing 'tepid' air. Have been to dealer this morning. They did a regas, confirming there were no leaks. Unfortunately has not cured the problem. They want to book in for a 'diagnostic' but cannot tell me what they will do or what they suspect can be wrong !! Has anybody had similar issues they may be able to give me some pointers towards please ??
