Featured Replies

evening all, installed my columbus and gsmIII today. columbus works fine however not showing on my maxipad neither is the BT stuff which i expected. although the mfsw works fine on the columbus.

going to get ben @ shark to code it all in and map the car tommorrow. Problem is i cant pair my phone!!!! spoke to ben and when i click phone it comes up no user connected so according to him its seeing the BT unit. However when i search from my phone nothing.

i've swiched the car on searhed for devices within 2mins of turning car on but still nothing. im using a nokia 6500c which is listed as compatible.

i wirded 4 wires from BT unit into back of head unit can hi can lo positive and negative. the mic just plugged into the back of the quad lock.

i also cant use voice control on the navi when i click on it, it makes the sound yet does not respond then after a few seconds the women says sorry i didnt hear you and reals off some commands?

I'll have a look at this for you tomorrow, how did you wire the connections in? CAN connections can be a bit picky.

Did you fit the bluetooth antenna?

i soldered the wires onto the loom, so should be good contact. There is no bluetooth antenna its the GSMIII unit only has two connectons on it one for the loom and one fakra connector for the antenna. the unit is in a black plastic box rather than the metal ones ive seen the gsm2 look like.

Well thanks to ben it was all down to it needing some coding, so after a long long drive up to Shark Performance in mansfield from southampton! My GSMIII and the Columbus navi shows on the maxidot.

Ben also remaped the car and turned turning fogs and auto lock on. Very pleased and a worth while trip.
