Strange noise and DRL problem

Hi guys,

I'm a little bit annoyed, only had the car for five days and there is like a high pitched whining noise coming from the engine on idle - anyone experienced something simliar?

Also the drivers side DRL now seems to be a different colour to the other one, looks like it now has a green tint in it and its even more noticeable when the dim down to half brightness when the lights come on.

2010 vRS tfsi by the way lol.
