Felicia Towbar Mk 1 or 2?

Featured Replies

New to Skodas, I have only just realised - I think- that my 1998 S regd Felicia 1.3 GLI hatchback could be either a Mark one or Mark 2, as 1998 seems to be the transition year. How do I tell the difference pls for buying parts etc pls?

In addition, which type of towbar do I need as it may vary with the Mark and also with the type approval requirement.?

Thanks, DF

If it's a 1998 onwards car then the towbar needs to be type approved. Probably best not to mess around, given that it's the kind of thing that the law are getting clever on.

The facelifted (Mk2) car isn't much different; if it has a big grille with chrome on it, then it's a Mk2:

This is a Mk 1:

No "grille" as such, smaller headlights, etc.
