Hi,

I have been looking at the prices of the Fabia se estate and cannot believe the value for money with the current offers. Also have a local dealer who has been extremely helpful and comes close to the drivethedeal prices which is even better.

Initially I was looking at the Octavia estate but after sitting in the Fabia estate I think it's big enough. A bit like a tardis inside. Also seemed to have more headroom (I'm 6ft 4)

I would appreciate some feed back if you have tried the latest 1.6 tdi cr engine, real world mpg and if you have dogs, do they find it ok getting in and out of the boot?

Local dealer even offered to bring the dogs down and let them jump in. (visions of them destroying the car showroom)

I currently drive a 2.3 petrol estate and the thought of moving from 25-30mpg to 50 + is heaven.

I have just picked up my new 1.6CR 105bhp elegance estate today. Traded in an our previous generation Fabia 1.4 pd 80. Engine is a significant improvement with a lot more power. We have a large greyhound and he loved the old fabia. We shopped around but couldnt find anything near offering similar value and large boot. Would definitely recommend you test drive the new model. We love it!

We have two Swiss mountain dogs and a whippet. It was a bit tight for space with the big ones. Decided to go for the Roomster if I can get the right deal with the same engine.

Random...you won't be disappointed with a 'roomy'. There are loads of 1.4 & 1.9TDI's running around where I live...but no 1.6cr's yet that I've seen. I understand the 1.6cr in either engine power format is a great motor. Enjoy and do make sure you post back to let us all know how things develop.

I am thinking of getting one on Motability along with a Renault Scenic or a new shape Astra. At the moment I am leaning toward the Scenic.

Have had the 1.6 CR TDI (90) for a week - averaging approx 55 knocking about but 68 on a 60 mile motorway trip bringing the car home

(On board computer mileages not worked it out from the pumps yet)

Engine is very quiet and smooth - chaged from a diesel Swift - the build quality of the Fabia is in another class
