Vag-com on mk1 octy vrs

Featured Replies

Hi sorry if this has been covered before, but i have searched with no joy.

Basicly i would like to know what options can vag-com enable or disable on a mk1 vrs?

Read somewhere that it can enable window closing with the remote fob if you can do it with the key??

Don't know what else it can do?

Thanks

Raf

Don't suppose anyone has vds pro near york by any chance?

You can use VCDS (VAG-COM) to program a number of functions controlled by the Central Convenience Unit. These include Auto-lock (the doors lock automatically when the car reaches a speed of 15kph); Auto-unlock (the doors unlock automatically when the ignition key is removed); and Unlock Blink and Lock Blink (all 4 indicators blink when the car is unlocked or locked using the remote).

I found the noise of all 4 doors locking when first driving off was too intrusive so cancelled that function, which meant there was no point in setting Auto-unlock. Having the indicators blink when the car is locked by the remote provides useful confirmation from a distance that it is in fact locked.

I can but I don't know when I'll be over that way again.

Work & pleasure take me out York way regularly though, so I'll PM you when I'm next over there.

If you get it done in the meantime, let me know. 'gathy's' not too far from you!
