Insurance - for 18 year old...

Hi,

I currently have a 1998/99 Skoda Felicia GLXi 1.6 insured through Direct Line for

Direct Line might be OK - I went with more Than when first getting insured in my name, and they gave me a years NCB free. However, I had to ditch them when I started modifying. :(

Chris Knott is definitely worth a shout, and make sure you mention briskoda.net in the conversation - I did, and they have the forum on their system.

Yes, Direct Line will tell you to get stuffed with mods as will most insurance companies. To be insured and all mods declared at 18 is unusual, most companies are 21, some 25 before they let you mod.

A phone around got him no where as far as alternative quotes. So I am afarid he had to make do with expensive alloy look alike metal wheel trims.

Looking at taking my first policy out on my Furby, (i've been on my parents :( ) looks like it will set me back

Have you tried increasing the excess on quotes? IMHO' date=' it's better to pay out if you have an accident, rather than regardless of it - most online quotes systems will let you play about with increasing the excess, and there's ususally a point beyond which increasing it doesn't get you any more savings on the policy...
