Still got smelly fresh air system but not air con the system smells only when in econ not auto. I've used an air cleaning bomb from car plan but this is done with the aircon on in recirc mode. The pollen filter is also new, is the pollen filter the only intake point for fresh air as the system may need cleaning at the intake point?

It smell just like wet dogs!!

the only air intake is through the pollen filter. The only solution is a good quality air con cleaner toyota do a very good one ive used it a few times and it got rid of the smell

I had same problem, and used a trade quality air con sanitiser (sp?) did the trick!!

You say new pollen filter,was it fitted correctly,was the scuttle panel refitted correctly,if not the filter can get wet and smell.Otherwise with a new filter and a cleaner being used,it should not smell.

I use Dettol in an aerosol form. Switch on the A/C, set it to 'LO', open all the air vents and set the air flap to re-circulate. Then place the can on the passenger footwell, jam a matchstick under the button and let it all go. In a few minutes the whole system smells fresh and it's much cheaper than the stuff you buy from the motor factors yet every bit as good.....
