Hi, is there anyone in or around the York area, that knows how to fit a full set of weitec coilovers? I will pay of course.

If not , do you know of any good garage that would fit them? plus how much should it cost me?

Hi,i am in the york area & would off fitted them for you but my boss is a co*k & has stopped me doing jobs in our workshop! (even though i have to mend his car!) you could ring stu at chapmans garage in heworth 01904 424597. or dave or colin at garage services in james street york 01904 431101. i dont know what they would charge you but both are good honest garages. (tell them mike ford from army workshops at strensall past on their number)

Feck me its a small world, I'm about 2 miles away from you (work at sand hutton and go through Haxby/Strensall every day) Cheers for the heads up, is yours a black vrs? its just I nodded to a guy in one going through Haxby last week or so.

Yep, that was me, you were coming out of the top of Usher lane.

Nice one if you know I good mechanic, had a price off a good fella from Chapmans but he said the ride height might be a pain, the coilovers I'm getting are set to drop the car as low as possible (50mm) too low for my liking, about 30mm would be good, so the height will need sorting.

I go from seeing one other VRS from time to time in the four years I've had the old girl and then in one day, I find out that there are at least 4 nearly next door to me

The yellow one is a member on here,he is called dakar. he lives in strensall,its always clean, unlike mine

Typical only saw 1 black one in york before i brought mine and now i find there's a few!!! lol

This has been driving me mad, prices are so different from garage to garage, AwesomeGTI want £240 to fit them and then Unit18 are asking £100 but are far away, I just need a garage in York to give me a set amount.

And your not too far away from unit18! I managed to find a vw specialist in York who'd fit them for £100 plus vat, a lot cheaper than some places
